Welcome to Coates Farm

A working farm in the heart of Much Wenlock, Shropshire

Established in 1973

Coates Farm CL Caravan and Camping Site is set within a six-acre field, giving you plenty of space to relax and roam.

The site is part of two working farms, Coates Farm and Westwood Farm, which together span 1,700 acres and are run by Jenny, her mum, brother and their families. The family first arrived at Westwood Farm in 1896, before taking on Coates Farm in 1973, when Jenny’s grandfather established the caravan site.

Back then, sheep shared the same field as the campers, so an early morning wake-up call from a few woolly neighbours was always a possibility!

Today the site is run by Jenny, husband Chris and their son Albert, who sells farm fresh eggs from his own chickens at the site.

Coates Farm is perfectly placed for exploring some of Shropshire’s best-loved towns, countryside and hidden gems. The historic market town of Much Wenlock is within walking distance, with footpaths leading directly from the site into town and out towards the beautiful Wenlock Edge.
